About SoundGirl

English pop group SoundGirl were formed in 2010 by teenaged vocalists Izzy Beardshaw, Olivia Redmond, and Nicole Short. A major break came when the Mercury label signed them, but a chance meeting proved to be just as significant; while recording material for their first album in Los Angeles, the singers learned that they and Justin Bieber were staying at the same hotel. They sought out the platinum teen pop star, met with him and, luckily enough, he liked their music so much that he invited them to be his opening act on a U.K. tour. The dates gave the group a considerable amount of exposure months prior to the September 2011 release of the album Something to Dream About. ~ Andy Kellman
