About Mithoon

Part of a legendary Indian musical family, Mithoon is a film composer and singer best known for his Bollywood work. ∙ In 2005, he cowrote “Woh Lamhe Who Baatein” for the suspense thriller Zeher, which had the No. 4 best-selling Bollywood soundtrack of the year. ∙ He composed the music for the 2007 romantic drama The Train, and he made his solo playback-singing debut with the pop piano ballad “Mausam.” ∙ His most famous composition is the chart-topping “Tum Hi Ho,” from the hit 2013 romance Aashiqui 2, for which he received prominent Filmfare and Mirchi Music awards. ∙ The video of his much-streamed title track for the movie Sanam Re, sung by award-winning vocalist Arijit Singh, has nearly 400 million views. ∙ In 2020, he composed music for the streaming action film Khuda Haafiz and performed the romantic “Jaan Ban Gaye” with playback singers Vishal Mishra and Asees Kaur.
