About Love-cars

The Minneapolis-based Love-Cars write lyrically enriched emo-style pop/rock songs as a group rather than as individuals. Formed in 1997, the band consists of frontman James Diers, guitarist Matthew Foust, bassist Alex Gaddis, and drummer David King. Of the four, Diers, a rock writer/editor, tends to get the most attention, mostly for his gripping vocals. The indie rock quartet debuted in 1998 with Chump Lessions, followed by I'm Friends With All Stars in 2000. No Alternative released both albums, but Love-Cars decided to self-release their 2002 album, Thank You for Telling Me What I Already Know. ~ Jason Birchmeier
