In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember music being around the house very early – records spinning, the radio on. I didn’t know styles yet, only that when a strong voice filled the room, people went quiet or started singing. That shift in the air is my first musical memory. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? The Beatles, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band The Rolling Stones, Exile On Main Street The Rolling Stones, Sticky Fingers (2015 Remaster) Remastered I grew up with the Beatles, and Sgt. Pepper showed me how adventurous and colorful songwriting could be. Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street shaped me as a musician – the groove, grit and heart on those records still guide my own songs. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sunday Blues” I chose “Sunday Blues” because it finally sounds like the live-band Americana track I’ve been hearing in my head. The piano and drums lock into an easy groove, and I’m especially proud of how the melody and arrangement came together. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of my most memorable moments was hearing one of my songs come on the radio for the first time while I was driving. Realizing that strangers out there were tuning in and listening made all the late nights with the guitar feel completely worth it. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There’s always one thing left on my bucket list: the next song. I want to keep catching little ideas as they appear and shaping them in my own way, molding them into whatever the next track needs to be.
