About Big & Rich
Before teaming up in Big & Rich, Big Kenny was a solo artist, and John Rich was the second lead singer of Lonestar. ∙ The duo earned a record deal after their performances at weekly Nashville gathering “MuzikMafia nights” caught the ear of producer Paul Worley. ∙ Their debut album, 2004’s Horse of a Different Color, topped the Country charts and featured four hits, including “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy).” ∙ Big & Rich have been nominated for two Grammy Awards (Best Country Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group)—for “Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)” and “Comin’ to Your City.” ∙ In 2007, the duo’s single “Lost in This Moment” spent two weeks at No. 1. ∙ Both men also work as songwriters for other artists and have penned No. 1 country hits for Gretchen Wilson, Faith Hill, and Tim McGraw. ∙ John Rich owns a Nashville bar as well as a company that sells boots, beef jerky, and a special blended whiskey.
