Unrest Essentials

U.S. college radio favourites Unrest were formed in 1983 in Virginia by high school students Mark Robinson, Phil Krauth and Tim Moran (later replaced by Bridget Cross). Not only did the band produce more than a dozen albums of near perfect experimental pop and sound sculpture throughout the early '90s, they also served as impetus for Robinson's founding of the influential DIY Teen Beat label in 1984, which would later be home to more than 100 recording artists. Officially splitting in 1994, members have since gone on to perform in Air Miami, Cotton Candy and Maybe It's Reno.
