The Chuck Wagon Gang first formed in 1935 with Texan D.P. (Dad) Carter taking the lead alongside his three children. Selling much of their 40 million albums with Columbia Records, the southern gospel group have been around for more than eight decades, touring and recording into the '00s with third-generation members. The harmony-heavy troupe have performed at the Grand Ole Opry, Carnegie Hall and the Hollywood Bowl. They've been inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and their recordings are preserved at the Smithsonian.
