Roman Flügel Essentials

Roman Flügel Essentials

With a pair of squealing singles in '04, Germany's Roman Flügel unwittingly paved the way for the adrenaline-soaked electro-house of the '10s. But that was an aberration for an underground DJ/producer better known for his subtlety. He started out making acid, techno and deep house in the duos Alter Ego, Sensorama and Holy Garage—all featuring Jörn Elling Wuttke—and solo as Roman IV, Eight Miles High and Soylent Green. After a long affiliation with the Klang label, he moved to Dial and began turning out some of the deepest, most hypnotic house music of his career.
