Erratic synthesisers, thumping club beats, jittery basslines and quirky falsetto vocals—Manchester's Everything Everything pull on the best of as many genres as they can take hold of to make colourful art pop as fun as it is unpredictable. The quartet created a maximalist art school aesthetic with their 2010 debut Man Alive, piling up intricate percussion, hazy harmonies, plinking guitars and buzzing synths beneath Jonathan Higgs' twisting, punk-inspired melodies. 2018's "Breadwinner" pairs urgent beats with vivid lyrics as they use a medley of styles to take a deeper look at modern society.
