About Paul Brady
Irish singer/songwriter Paul Brady passed through several major bands, including folk groups the Johnstons and Planxty, before embarking on a long and successful solo career. After making his solo debut in 1978 with the folk album Welcome Here Kind Stranger, he embraced a more commercial rock sound and went on to collaborate with artists including Bonnie Raitt, Carole King, and Richard Thompson, just to name a few. Brady landed in the Billboard 200 with 1991's Trick or Treat, and after over a dozen solo releases, 2015's Vicar St. Sessions, Vol. 1 featured guests such as Raitt, Van Morrison, and Mark Knopfler. It reached Ireland's Top Five. ~ Marcy Donelson
