Nice & Wild

About Nice & Wild

Nice & Wild, alternately known as Nice 'N Wild and Nice and Wild, among many other variations, debuted in 1986 with "Diamond Girl," one of the year's biggest Latin freestyle club hits. Produced by Joe Granda and Marvin "Pretty Boy" Floyd, and originally released on the Hialeah Gardens, Florida-based wing of the Top Hits label, the song was picked up by major-label Atlantic and reached the mainstream. The original version was featured on 1987's Energy, Love and Unity, the group's lone Atlantic album. Bobby Chapman, John Minnis, Remy Palacios, Reggie Pierre, and David Torres were credited with vocals, as were Granda and fellow producer Gary Henry, the latter of whom performed most of the album's instrumentation. Nice & Wild briefly resurfaced in 1996 with a second album, Infatuation, which involved Granda and Minnis. ~ Andy Kellman
