About Moore & Moore

Twin sisters Debbie and Carrie Moore originally hail from Belton, MO, and it was while the duo sang their senior-class song at high-school graduation that they decided their future lay in music. After playing in clubs throughout North America, the sisters relocated to the country capital of the U.S.A. -- Nashville. The move paid off for the duo as their first single, 1991's "Out With the Cold," became a hit, paving the way for further successful singles -- "Steal Me a Heart," "Don't Come Knocking," "Break Down the Walls," and "I Surrender." Moore & Moore racked up an impressive string of nominations at country music awards throughout the '90s, as well as making their appearance at the Grand Ole Opry in 1995, and touring Europe with the Bellamy Brothers and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band in 1997. Debbie Moore co-penned the hit "Wish You Were Here," which went the number one spot on the Billboard, R&R, and Gavin charts in 1999 when it was recorded by Mark Wills. So far, Moore & Moore have issued two well-received full-length albums -- 1996's Master of My Own Destiny and 2001's Million Roses. ~ Greg Prato
