About Jimmy Flame

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My father had this dusty, sparkly blue drumset from the '60s tucked away in the basement. I remember setting it up one day, and I began banging on it. He busted in and I thought I was in big trouble. Nope. I "joined" his band and the rest is history. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dead Boys, Young, Loud and Snotty Johnny Thunders, The Heartbreakers, L.A.M.F.: The Lost '77 Mixes (Remastered) Ramones, Road to Ruin (Deluxe Edition) I'd never heard anything like these records. The energy, the fun, the beat. It was so simple and satisfying. These core records made me feel like I could start my own band one day. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Bored” This is the song that pulled me out of a bad bout with depression. It was written during the Pandemic, and I was really missing Seattle where my life was completely surrounded by music and friends. Recording it brought back a recklessness I needed. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first sellout at a major venue, The Tractor. I bombed that show. Drank way too much and walked off stage early. We usually played shorter sets, so no one really knew, I guess. People were like, "That was awesome!" I was like, "yeah it was." Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I have a very short answer for that, and it's yes.
