About Jaakko Kortekangas

Jaako Kortekangas is a Finnish baritone who began appearing on the operatic stages of his native country in the summer of 2000. He played three small parts in two productions at the Savonlinna Opera, Scandinavia's leading summer operatic festival. In the fall of 2000 he made his debut with the Helsinki Opera as Marcello in Puccini's La Bohème. He has appeared on Finlandia Records in the wordless instrumental baritone solo part in the second movement of Danish composer Carl Nielsen's Third Symphony.
