Nick Littlemore: The Producers

Good luck keeping up with the prolific pursuits of Nick Littlemore. He’s been a leading voice in Australian music since the turn of the millennium, when his duo PNAU (with Peter Mayes) scored a Best Dance Release ARIA for their sample-packed 1999 debut Sambanova. While still pursuing PNAU both live and on record, Littlemore steadily branched out with projects including Teenager—a rock-driven collab with a pre-Ladyhawke Pip Brown—and Empire Of The Sun, a teamup with The Sleepy Jackson’s Luke Steele that spawned some of the era’s most widely travelled earworms (and seven more ARIAs) with their 2008 opus Walking on a Dream. After finding a passionate fan in Elton John, Littlemore embarked on a string of collaborations with the icon that culminated in John and Dua Lipa’s “Cold Heart”, a PNAU-helmed 2021 medley that topped the charts in multiple countries and became the most streamed track of John’s career. “It was an unbelievable moment,” Littlemore recalled on John’s Apple Music Radio show Rocket Hour in 2024, giving his collaborators much of the credit before adding, “This was a record that changed my life, just as an audience member.” Whether lending his talents to pop stars such as Troye Sivan and electronic juggernauts like Rudimental or doing a casual remix for Coldplay, Littlemore has remained firmly in the public eye. In 2025, he and Brown even rekindled Teenager, balancing bubblegum dance pop with brash DIY touches.
