Matheus Fernandes Essentials

It was on family road trips into the Ceará countryside when Matheus Fernandes first fell for the romanticism of sertanejo. Listening to duets by Chitãozinho & Xororó ignited his interest in music and he soon taught himself to play a guitar gifted by a friend. After his track “Mete Ficha” gained traction in 2011, he built a fan base by pairing traditional elements of piseiro and sertanejo instrumentation with contemporary beats. Meanwhile, Fernandes’ velvet vocals give each song a sparkling sense of warmth.
