Khalil's Music Encyclopedia Vol. 3: Jazz

Khalil Fong returns as Apple Music's Guest Curator of the Month with another exclusive playlist. Jazz makes an integral part of pop music history – join Khalil this week as he shares his love and admiration for this monumental art form. “Jazz finds its origins in the late 19th century and since had a huge impact on pop music. Many classic tunes were built on jazz, as well as many popular genres from rock to hip-hop – even world music. Much like classical music, jazz requires years of study to execute. If I had the time and opportunity, I would like to be a jazz musician. I think it would be really cool, because I've enjoyed jazz singers and instrumentalists ever since I was a kid.”
