Husband and wife duo Keith & Kristyn Getty have turned their faith into inspiration, writing a hefty songbook of contemporary hymns that draws on the traditions of folk (the influence of their Northern Irish background), country and pop. Keith wrote the modern standard “In Christ Alone” in 2001 before forging a hugely successful musical and romantic alliance with Kristyn, whose sparkling voice complements his husky sombre tones.Their sound is passionate and modern, taking devotional ideas and decorating them with elements of contemporary bluegrass and folk instrumentation.
