About Pappy Kojo

Inspired by the likes of Obrafour and Reggie Rockstone, Pappy Kojo takes on their mantel, adapting hiplife -- a combination of hip-hop and Ghanian traditions -- for the 21st century. In 2014, he guested on Joey B's "Wave." Later that year, Joey B repaid the favor by guesting on the debut Pappy Kojo single "Realer No," which became a huge success in Ghana and was named Hip Hop Song of the Year at the national music awards. Further Ghanaian hits followed such as 2016's "Awo'a" and 2018's "Ay3 Late," and 2021 brought another Ghana Music Award, this time for Collaboration of the Year, for a remix of "Thomas Pompoy3yaw" performed alongside the South African singer/songwriter and poet Busiswa. His debut album, Logos II, was finally issued in 2021, and he followed this a year later with the Logos Hope EP.
