About Nidarosdomens Jentekor

The Nidarosdomens Jentekor, or Nidaros Cathedral Girls' Choir, is one of Scandinavia's most highly regarded youth vocal ensembles. The group often performs contemporary music and has commissioned and premiered many new pieces. The Nidarosdomens Jentekor was established in Trondheim, Norway, in 1992. Anita Brevik has been the group's conductor and artistic director since its founding. In 2002, the choir released its debut album, Som en Rose. In 2014, the choir released Magnificat, which won a Grammy Award. That album featured the Trondheim Soloists; the Nidarosdomens Jentekor has frequently collaborated with that group, as well as with the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. The Nidarosdomens Jentekor and the Trondheim Soloists returned in 2019 with the album Lux and in 2022 with Kim André Arnesen: Tuvayhun.
