Formed by the remaining members of French alternative rock band Dolly -- in the wake of bassist Mickaël Chamberlin's 2005 death -- Manú took shape with the addition of Bayrem Ben Amor in Chamberlin's place. Signed to a recording contract with Universal Music France, Manú made their full-length album debut in 2008 with Rendez-Vous. In support of the album, which reached number 65 on the French charts, Manú embarked on an extensive national tour with Thierry Niro (aka Nirox) on drums in the place of original drummer Thierry Lacroix. ~ Jason Birchmeier
