In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Chewing is the solo moniker for Los Angeles musician & visual artist, Nik Ewing, best known for his critically acclaimed band Local Natives. ‘Songs For Linnéa’ is his second solo LP, a collection of minimal piano songs written for his first child. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? In 2020, Nik launched the record label Chewing Inc.: a home to produce music and direct a visual identity, including Omotola’s gorgeous genre bending 2021 debut single, as well producing and/or art directing releases for The Gloomies & Jaws of Love.
