Titiyo Essentials

After releasing her self-titled album in 1990—mixing dance-pop with R&B—Titiyo became a big star in Sweden and also gained attention in the U.S. Her debut single "Talking to the Man in the Moon", written by songwriter Magnus Frykberg and released a year before, would prove a slow-jam hit. However, it was her cover of Aretha Franklin's "Never Let Me Go" that cemented her reputation as a soul queen in her homeland. The half-sister of Neneh Cherry, Titiyo has gradually moved towards pop and rock in her further studio work, winning four Swedish Grammis.
