Founded in 1984, this Colorado band have become a well-loved mainstay of the summer festival circuit—and everywhere else easy-going grooves are appreciated. Even so, they’ve always been too unique to fit neatly into the jam-band mould. What makes them different is their knack for melodic songwriting and unfussy concision, the hallmarks of hits like their 1993 breakthrough, “Bittersweet”. Most important of all is the husky, soulful voice of ever-affable frontman Todd Park Mohr, which is perfectly suited to his band’s many deep dives into the blues and R&B traditions at the heart of what they do.
