In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I saw Christina Aguilera's "Come on Over" music video and became OBSESSED with her red streaked hair. I got a red magic marker and gave myself some DIY highlights so I would look cooler than the other toddlers at preschool. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Carole King, Tapestry Kacey Musgraves, Pageant Material Taylor Swift, Speak Now Pageant Material was the album that inspired me to write country music. Since piano is my first instrument, Carole King really resonated with me. I'm pretty sure Speak Now chemically altered my brain in middle school because I listened so much. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Woulds” My favorite part of songwriting is when I am able to articulate a complex feeling. I couldn't explain to anyone how trapped I felt by all these unanswered questions swirling in my head. Then I wrote this song and it felt so relieving. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When my favorite YouTuber Grady Smith shared that he loved my song "Glory Daze", I was shocked. He said it was one of the best songs he had heard in a long time. It took me SEVERAL days to process that. So grateful for his support. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I can't wait for the day that someone sings my song at karaoke. The drunker and the more off-key the better.
