R-Dug is an electro dub alias of well-traveled French producer and musician Bruno Pronesti, who began recording club-focused, danceable material in 2002. Emanating from the south of France, he laces his experimental, but no less accessible, take on dub with traces of psychedelia, worldbeat, and minimalism, all crafted with a D.I.Y. punk sensibility. Early R-Dug releases included 2004's Startlife, as well as 2007's Dub, issued alongside dirtier electro material under his Mr. Duc moniker. After 2013's combative Mr Duc vs. R-Dug, Pronesti focused solely on the R-Dug project. Four highly collaborative albums -- The Dragonfly Rags, Elephant Kush, Eternal Dub Quantum, and Liquid Slave -- were issued between 2014 and 2020 on Pronesti's own label, Green Madness. 2023's eccentric Exotic Frog Flavour saw him return to self-recording and self-production.
