In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Lingby started when in 2005, Judith and Willi met in a shared appartment of some common friends. There was a piano, and Willi's guitar. One day, they just tried to play along together. That day, Lingby was born, and it started with just these two. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fever Ray, Fever Ray Portishead, Dummy Sufjan Stevens, Carrie & Lowell Beth Gibbons, her voice, her depth and her gloom have always touched my like noone else. Fever Ray and especially her early works are a constant companion in my life and my musical influences. Sufjan Stevens is my hero. We share the loss of a parent. Tell us why you chose this song. “Acceleration” This song sums up not only my last years and personal experience, but also my beginning point to make a change. It is also an hommage to trip hop, and to my favourite animal, the humpback whale, who sings like noone else in this world! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? There are some to chose from. The day we won a competition and got to play at Melt!festival, the tour we made in with our heroes from mewithoutyou. The winner is the moment Olaf Opal responded to our mail and we started our ongoing collaboration.
