About Kid AlpHa

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. "Pakurumo" by Wizkid. The track's contagious energy and enticing groove hooked me. I was magically taken to another universe. I promised to make music that would make people sing and dance like "Pakurumo" did for me. Since then, I've loved Afrobeat. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Burna Boy, African Giant Wizkid, Sounds From the Other Side 1. "Sound of the Other Side" This CD is a memory capsule of my childhood 2. "African Giant": This record perfectly captures Fela Kuti's energy. 3. "Roots": Reminded me that anyone can succeed with the correct push, direction, and perseverance. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Colours” The original beat was made for Afro B. He didn’t like it, and I hop on the beat as i was bored thinking of Nella Rose. I didn’t expect the song to have done so well becoming my most streamed songs. I’m happy fans have resonated with it. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My first million streams on "Colours" was a career highlight. It was the conclusion of hard labour and a great audience connection. From lyrics to melody, I gave the song my all. I was excited and anxious to share it with the world. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? 1. Charting in the U.K. and Billboard Top 10 2. Headlining my own tour would be a milestone in my career and an unforgettable live experience for the audience. 3. Make a timeless classic album. I want to write music that evokes feelings and lasts.
