Ian Fletcher Thornley

About Ian Fletcher Thornley

Toronto native Ian Thornley first found success in the late '90s fronting the Canadian alt-rock band Big Wreck. After releasing a pair of well-regarded albums on Atlantic, the group disbanded in 2002, leaving the door open for their leader's self-titled solo band Thornley. With their heavy post-grunge sound, Thornley were a strong fit for Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger's Universal imprint 604 Records. With veteran producer Mark Howard (Bob Dylan, Daniel Lanois) in a remote Ontario cottage, he crafted his soulful and introspective solo debut, Secrets, which he released in 2015 under his birth name. ~ Timothy Monger
