The debut EP from Nyck Caution and Kirk Knight oozes the kind of chemistry generally associated with veteran duos. “All Night” is a fever dream in which the Pro Era MCs finish each other’s bars as if they’re psychically linked, while “Off the Wall” bottles the contrast between Caution’s hard flow and his partner’s wily expressiveness. Knight doubles as producer, blending ’90s-style boom bap with lush, moody landscapes that possess all the stately darkness of a Gothic castle (“Audiopium”).
