One of the first rappers from Tennessee to release CDs, Playa Fly debuted in 1996 with Fly Shit, his first of several albums released independently by Super Sigg Records. The rapper made a name for himself initially by dissing Three 6 Mafia ("Flizy Comin' [Triple Bitch Mafia, Pt. 2]"), a much more recognized rap act from Tennessee, but the controversy never amounted to much, and Playa Fly remained on the underground circuit in subsquent years. ~ Jason Birchmeier
