In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was in 5th grade, I attempted to play a Rage Against the Machine cover at the school talent show. I was denied. Alabama Shakes, Sound & Color The National, I Am Easy to Find Vampire Weekend, Modern Vampires of the City These three records shaped how I made music the most. Tell us why you chose this song. “I WANT YOU” This is the first song I made when I moved to LA. It felt special as I was making it, partially because it came out so fast. I wrote all the lyrics on my way home from the dentist.
