In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is my parents playing synthesizers and pianos in the house for fun. I fell in love with instruments & sounds before I could talk. My dad who worked in construction built a studio for me in the garage when I was 7. Alanis Morissette, Jagged Little Pill (Remastered) Frank Ocean, channel ORANGE John Mayer, Continuum This was theeee hardest question ever, but here's 3 of my top favorite albums in no specific order. I chose them because I'm such a fan of artists who are also incredible songwriters. I've soaked up so much from each of them, and there are no skips! She represents clarity, a mirror, my higher self. A version of me from another place or time who is first to advocate for herself and for others, and gladly lets go of anything that no longer serves her. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career so far was being a part of writing and singing on a Grammy nominated album with Nas. He was kind enough to leave my voice on the record I wrote with Elijah Blake called Roses.
