In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first song I can remember hearing was Fire On The Mountain by The Grateful Dead. I was 4 years old, my dad was making breakfast in the kitchen, and I just stood in front of the stereo equalizer watching the bars move to the music, mesmerized. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Neil Young, Live At Massey Hall 1971 (Deluxe Version) SPIRIT OF THE BEEHIVE, Pleasure Suck The Beach Boys, Pet Sounds Spirit Of The Beehive created a perfect record Pleasure Suck. It plays all the way through like a movie, moving dreamlike from scene to scene. Brian Wilson's productions move in a similar way on Pet Sounds, he was the true pioneer of this style. It's a song of nostalgia for simpler times, writing music for the pure release and enjoyment of the process, before I ever worried about trying to get my music heard by others. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The editor of a South Dakota underground music zine called Tiger Meat named my record Portraits his #3 album of last year, right between Beyoncé and Big Thief! That was a crazy moment to see my name in the company of names like that. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Playing the gayest set they've ever seen at the Grand Ole Opry.
