The Brazilian rocker made history in the ‘80s when he formed thrash/death-metal pioneers Sepultura. And even after leaving that band behind in the mid-‘90s, Cavalera has continued to have a major impact on the metal world, whether mating thrash and spiritual lyrics in Soulfly or playing in supergroup Killer Be Killed.
