Hillsong UNITED might not have set out to redefine worship music, yet that's exactly what the Australian youth ministry has accomplished. Featuring a rotating cast of musicians, singers and songwriters, the band wraps its faith-based messages in arrangements rooted in alt-rock and electronic music. Released in 2007, All of the Above features swelling arrangements and cascading guitars that wouldn't sound out of place on a U2 album. They have since grown bolder, incorporating electro synths, indie folk warmth and the bass-soaked throb of club music into their ecstatic anthems.
