Etta James Essentials

Etta James lived an unusually difficult life. Born to an unwed teenage mother and unidentified father, and raised by foster parents who physically abused her, she took to singing at just five years of age. Known for cowriting such classics as “The Wallflower (Aka Roll With Me Henry)" and “I'd Rather Go Blind”, James established herself as one of the greatest soul singers of all-time, courtesy of the emotion she channeled into songs like “Trust In Me”, “Fool That I Am” and her signature tune, “At Last”.
