Dorian Essentials

Dorian use the sounds of '80s synth bands like New Order and The Cure to reimagine what's popular for contemporary festival rock. But where their predecessors go cinematic, this Barcelona-based five-piece tend to seek out more melancholy moods. Their 2004 debut, 10.000 Metrópolis, marked them as indie iconoclasts and an electro remix LP made their music DJ-ready. They quickly became one of Spain's hottest acts, and their sound has continued to grow, keeping pace with their rapidly expanding fanbase. Now their hybrid beats are big enough to fill arenas.
