Deniz Seki’s rich songbook has consistently kept her at the forefront of Turkish pop. The singer stood out with her sweeping 1997 debut album Hiç Kimse Değilim, including offerings from such well-respected artists as Sezen Aksu and Altan Çetin. But since 1999’s Anlattım, Seki has taken more creative control in front of and behind the scenes by writing most of her own tunes.
