Da Weasel are a musical melting pot, and even their deep cuts express the joy they take in flouting all conventions of genre. "Selectah", for instance, uses airtight rap flows and distorted metal guitars as the vehicle for lyrics based on reggae slang. The rapping is equally dense on "Amor, Escárnio e Maldizer", but this time the band plays it against a gritty bassline that's pure funk.
