About Saint Deamon

Swedish metallers Saint Deamon traffic in a muscular blend of anthemic power metal and symphonic, thrash-kissed progressive metal. Emerging in the late 2000s and featuring former members of Highland Glory and Dionysus, the band quickly became mainstays of the European power metal scene via hard-charging albums like In Shadows Lost from the Brave (2008), Pandeamonium (2009), and later Ghost (2019). Founded in 2006 by ex-Dionysus drummer Ronny Millianovicz, Saint Deamon eventually morphed into a five-piece with the arrivals of vocalist Jan Thore Grefstad (ex-Highland Glory), guitarist Toya Johansson (Bjurström), and bass player Nobby Noberg (ex-Dionysus). The group's respectable pedigree and versatile sound soon caught the attention of Frontiers Records, who went on to release the band's debut album, In Shadows Lost from the Brave, in 2008. Saint Deamon wasted little time issuing a follow-up, releasing the well-received Pandeamonium just one year later. A long studio hiatus preceded the release of the group's third long-player, 2019's Ghost, which was issued via Ram It Down and marked the debut of new drummer Jarle Byberg (ex-Shining). ~ James Christopher Monger
