Marié was an L.A.-based singer/songwriter who mixed influences from the singer/songwriter scene of 1970s California with flourishes of contemporary modern rock. Though she built a bit of a buzz in her native Los Angeles, Marié made her strongest showing in late 2003, as a semifinalist in America Online's First Break talent contest. ~ Johnny Loftus
