About Leo Jimenez

Spanish heavy metal singer Leo Jiménez (born in Fuenlabrada in 1979) rose to fame at the age of 19 as vocalist for Saratoga, a band that quickly became one of the genre's leading attractions. Never one to rest on his laurels, in 2007 Jiménez started a goth metal project named Stravaganzza, and also played the lead in a highly successful run of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar. In 2009 he released Títere con Cabeza, by all accounts his first solo album even if it appeared under the moniker Leo 037. Jiménez eventually dispensed with all pretense and started using his own name by the release of 2013's Animal Solitario. After celebrating his 20th anniversary in music with a live album in 2015, Jiménez returned one year later with La Factoría del Contraste. ~ Mariano Prunes
