After cutting her teeth on Broadway, singer and actress Lea Michele rose to superstardom with her starring role on the Fox musical comedy series Glee. • When she was eight, Michele accompanied a friend to audition for Les Miserables. Despite having never sung before, Michele landed the role of Cosette. • She went on to star in a number of Broadway shows, including Spring Awakening, which she was in for eight years. • From 2009 to 2015, she starred as Rachel Berry on Glee, a show known for its clever repurposing of pop hits. Over the course of the series, the cast landed 207 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, including three Top 10 hits. • Michele’s 2014 debut album, Louder, peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Her sophomore LP, Places, arrived in 2017. • Her credits also include the TV series Scream Queens and The Mayor, plus the films Glee: The 3D Concert Movie (2011) and New Year’s Eve (2011).
