About Brian Jin

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember when I was about 3 years old, my dad put on a Creedence Clearwater Revival album. From the opening notes of “Proud Mary,” I was hooked. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Fendahlene, High and Low and Back Again Tears for Fears, The Tipping Point a-ha, Scoundrel Days I think SCOUNDREL DAYS was the first album I heard where I immersed myself in the lyrics. HIGH AND LOW AND BACK AGAIN is a shining example of great indie rock. TIPPING POINT is a moment of bonding with my youngest daughter. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Birmingham New Street” This song carries me back to my holiday in the UK. The B’ham New St station was a regular jumping off point wherever I was going. I like to think I captured the ambiance of night time on a train. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I’d say seeing the successes of the last three albums (Birmingham New Street & Other Experiences, The Frenchtown Connection, The Last Good High). They’ve received a lot of listens whether here or other sites. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Oh yes, a world tour! Maybe a mainstream hit or three.
