Arkano

Spanish rapper Guillermo Rodríguez Godínez (aka Arkano) made a name for himself as a national battle rap champion before transitioning into a recording artist with the release of his 2017 debut album, Bioluminiscencia. He began to enter battle rap competitions by the time he turned 14, with his first notable victory taking place in 2008. He would continue to rise and gain notoriety within the scene, and by winning or placing highly in multiple competitions he became regarded as one of the best battle rappers Spain had to offer. Although mostly focused on live events, he did record and release an EP, Smooth Series, in 2014. His debut album, Bioluminiscencia, arrived in 2017. Arkano retired from battle rapping in 2019 to focus on his solo recording career, which resulted in the release of a second album, 2022's MATCH.
