About Apostle of Hustle

With the help of buddies Dean Stone and Julian Brown, Broken Social Scene’s Andrew Whiteman formed the quirky-sounding, activist-minded offshoot Apostle Of Hustle in 2001 after a two-week sojourn in Havana, Cuba. After some time experimenting with Brazilian folk and traditional Cuban sounds, they recorded their first full-length, FOLKLORIC FEEL, which was released in 2004 amidst Whiteman’s commitments to BSS. The band managed to set time aside in 2006 to work on NATIONAL ANTHEM OF NOWHERE, and returned in 2009 with the concept record EATS DARKNESS.
