Paul Gilmartin

Best known as a standup comedian, Paul Gilmartin has also acted in numerous Chicago-area plays beforehand, and also studied at the renowned Second City Theatre. But comedy is where Gilmartin's true talent lies -- he's appeared on such TV shows as Politically Incorrect, VH1's The List, HBO Comedy Showcase, and MTV's Half-Hour Comedy Hour, and has performed his standup routine at the 1995 Montreal Comedy Festival and the 2000 Aspen Comedy Festival. As an actor, he's appeared on HBO's Not Necessarily the Elections, and in Sketchapalooza at the 1996 Aspen Comedy Festival. In addition, Gilmartin has written for the Emmy Awards and for comedian/TV show host Dennis Miller, was nominated for a CableAce award for his work as co-host of Dinner and a Movie, and penned poetry (hosting a weekly Sunday afternoon radio/poetry show on the website www.comedyworld.com). ~ Greg Prato
