Bill Laswell Essentials

Producer and bassist Bill Laswell has built one of the most prolific and unpredictable careers in music. He launched the experimental disco-meets-rock band Material in the late '70s, becoming a fixture on the New York club scene. Since then, he's released solo albums, formed supergroups and collaborated with hundreds of artists, including icons like George Clinton and Brian Eno. He's explored hip-hop, electronic, dub reggae, free jazz, metal and much more. With his deep love for the rhythms of the world, Laswell creates new musical hybrids every time he enters the studio.
