Nineteen Forty-Five

About Nineteen Forty-Five

Hunter Manasco (vocals/guitar), Katherine McElroy (bass), and Will Lochamy (drums) compose the heavy, indie-tailored punk rock of 1945. This Birmingham, AL, group formed in 2000, inspired by poetry and literature. Together We'll Burn Like Autumn Leaves marked their impressive debut for Amy Ray's Daemon Records in 2001. College radio immediately pounced on 1945's bombastic style. Two years later, the group entered the studio with David Barbe (Son Volt, Sugar, Elf Power) for I Saw a Bright Light. ~ MacKenzie Wilson
